main ideas
Our group name is Move- on and we are doing “SHIFT”. In this project, my position is editor.
This story is talk about a Government Scientist want to expose some government offence to public. He is going to send a document to media company as effort to bring out their faults. But finally got nothing on the newspaper. His actions failed and try to escape. One day, news said that a Government Scientist dead. Our group change the original story. Finally he is not dead.
Prepare
I watch a film call “Black Swan”. Director is Darren Aronofsky. I think this are a horror and mystery film. Some scenes are horrible, bloody. But the story is meaningful. It is bring out the other side of human. Now a day, many people get a big pressure more and more. Sometime, they did not find themselves. It will be create the other “own”. The whole film colour tone is dark and blue. Represent that world of Nina is dark, disorder. She don’t which way want to go and how to success her ballet profession.
Storyboard for my edit.
The idea of my storyboard is the sequence of our group edit, to help me to organize well for the film. It include which scenes, how is the scenes look like and the description. For example, Close-up, mid-shot, what effect will be include, etc.
We have got shooting schedule, production schedule, props list and costumes list for our filming.

Trying something new.
I am trying to put a shot, which is a camera walking on the field. It is like something or someone is follow or finding something. This shot is for my opening to introduce our crew and the film title. In my whole film edit, I am trying to edit it not like a normal sequence story, try to alternations. Following the background music and flow to make the scene alternations.
1. We have got permission form Biocity and bus station. Bus we cannot find any newsagents or newsstand. It is because will need it in the film. So we decide to film a stand then want to put a few words on there. But we didn’t use it in our final version.
2. Actor: Producer promise will find actors, but finally not. Then James was doing our actor for film finally.
3. In the biocity scene, there have a place that is reflective to the camera. Fortunately, we have got a large reflector. It can cover the reflection from outside.
The decisions and choices
1. Our group people didn’t like my edit version. They going to edit the other version and ask me to use their version for the group version.
2. I help to draw a Schedule and prop list and costumes list. Make a whole things organize well.
The things I have learnt
1. I learnt how to communicate as a team. As a good team, we always need to update information and what we did day by day. We are usually using text to communicate with each other. I think this is a good thing for us to communicate well and do the things well. Also, we will use facebook message to contact what we need to do to organize the things better.
2. I learnt how to control the camera well. As in sometimes I have got an opportunity to do a cameraman. This is my first time to try to control the camera. It is hard but I will keep try on it.
3. I learnt how to catch the mood of the film between sound and the scene. That is a balance between sound and the scene. To solve a problem of this, I watch a few of film about mystery to related to “Shift”. Find that as a good person in your team, need to practice well, look around of the world, look more details form our daily life. Then will be make things well, film is about our life. We need to breathe our life as usual.
Improvement
I would give me more time to edit and will research more example.
Our group people didn’t like my edit version. They going to edit the other version and ask me to use their version. I agree with that and I didn’t give up for my version. I will keep going on it. Keep researching and keep thinking how to do it better. Look more details form our life. Find more examples from difference artist.
Experience
1. The time management is a most important to make the things well. Research, brainstorm, drawing, etc. I need to make a timetable for the new project and put these items into the timetable.
2. Research - my new project is Interactive Media. I need to look more magazine about website and walk around some gallery to inspire the idea. Search more good website to make for example.
